SMTS SILICON DESIGN ENGINEER

THE ROLE: 

We are looking for an adaptive, self-motivative design verification engineer to join our growing memory PHY team. As a key contributor, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market. The Verification Engineering team furthers and encourages continuous technical innovation to showcase successes as well as facilitate continuous career development. 

THE PERSON:

A successful candidate will work with senior silicon design engineers. The candidate will be highly accurate and detail-oriented, possessing good communication and problem-solving skills.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Develop and execute verification plans for PHY memory IP from initial planning through to final verification signoff. 
  • Write constrained random tests, assertions, and define/track functional coverage bins. 
  • Perform IP-level verification tasks, ensuring the accuracy and functionality of the design. 
  • Collaborate closely with remote design teams, requiring strong communication skills and an ability to manage cross-functional interactions.
  • Gate-level simulations (GLS) and coverage analysis to ensure verification completeness.
  • Mixed-signal verification, low-power design, and firmware-based design verification.
  •

REFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM for verification.
  • Strong background in IP verification with experience in at least two or more projects.
  • Solid understanding of memory protocols such as DDRLPDDR, or HBM (experience in these is an advantage).
  • Hand-on experience in verification environment development such as monitor, scoreboard, checkers, assertions, tests and coverage.
  • Experience with GLS and coverage analysis tools.
  • Exposure to low-power design verification and mixed-signal verification.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively work with remote and cross-functional teams.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical/Electronics Engineering
