Level Design Internship

Contract: Temporary Full-Time - 6 months

Work Model: Hybrid

Electronic Arts Inc. is a global leader in interactive entertainment.

We exist to Inspire the World to Play. We create extraordinary new game experiences for our millions of players everywhere by bringing together people that combine creativity, innovation, and passion. Our mission is to attract and grow a more diverse employee base through the cultivation of our early talent pipeline to shape EA's teams, culture and products. Within Europe, we create an overall enriching experience, empowering interns and graduates with the sense that "EA is where I want to be".

The Challenge Ahead

We are DICE, the award-winning studio based in Stockholm, Sweden, best known for creating the phenomenally successful 20-years old Battlefield franchise. We believe our people are the backbone and driving force to our creative products, and are always looking for diverse game creators to help us build the best Battlefield experiences and make our studio the best in the industry.

Responsibilities:

As an intern we don't expect you to be productive straight away. Learning the tools and workflows will take time. The most important thing is for you to learn, ask questions and be curious. Once you are ready to take on production tasks, your lead, manager and mentors will guide and assist you along the way.

  • You will become a part of the Level Design team, learning the workflows used at DICE and how to use said workflows in a production environment.

  • You will take part in designing levels or parts of levels and participate in creative iterations based on playtests and feedback from the wider team.

  • You will be part of a cross-disciplinary team and learn about how other disciplines work as you work together on delivering an excellent experience.

Qualifications:

  • You are studying at a university/vocational school that has a planned internship period (not a graduate).

  • You are available to commence a full-time, 6-month placement in January 2025.

  • You are located and eligible to work in Stockholm without the need for visa/relocation support

Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency in 3D Level Editors, such as Unreal Engine.

  • Passion for the Battlefield franchise or first-person shooter games.

  • Solid documentation skills.

  • Verbal and written communication skills in English.

Take your career to the next level - apply now!

Submit an up-to-date CV and cover letter in English which explains why you would like to complete your internship with Electronic Arts and what interests you in this specific role.
