We are headquartered in Seoul, South Korea and sit within the KRAFTON, Inc. corporation. Here in Amsterdam, we are now working on a brand-new IP as the lead development studio. We’re incredibly excited about the project and can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on.

As a Lighting Artist you will be responsible for creating and maintaining various lighting scenarios, both indoors and outdoors, managing both artistic and technical aspects of the lighting pipeline and supporting the artistic direction of the game. 

Basic responsibilities:  

• Coordinate with art and tech to create stunning and performant lighting
• Use lighting techniques to bring the best in environments and characters and support the narrative and artistic vision
• Building up the art direction for the project by working closely with the Art Director and Creative Director 
• Participate in performance follow-ups in collaboration with the Producer 
• Collaborating with the technical team to ensure best performance and scalability in different hardware
• Verify the quality of lighting in the game, and make improvements where necessary  

What we’re ideally looking for:  

• Several years in a similar position, within the games industry (AAA experience preferential) 
• Solid knowledge and experience with photography
• Deep understanding of cinematic lighting techniques
• Experience with Unreal Engine 4/5 and its various lighting tools and processes
• Good eye for color and contrast, composition and visual balance
• Strong portfolio showing lighting skills and demonstrating a high level of artistic creativity
• Portfolio showcasing photography and\or cinema work is a plus
• Familiarity with a game development cycle 
• Solid understanding of technological constraints for both dynamic and static lighting and game limitations
