THE ROLE:  

The AI Server Business and Market Development Managerwill play a key rolewithin the Server Business Unit. The role is customer-facing and will focus on the growing AI market. This individual will be responsible for winning Server AI designs around AMD’s current and next generation CPUs, serving as the business development subject matter expert on our AI capabilities, understanding the support requirements and ensuring successful revenue capture. 

THE PERSON: 

The ideal candidate will possess a breadth of abilities and skills, including AI and Server product knowledge, machine learning applications and solutions, strong marketing and presentation skills, solid understanding of customers’ business and decision makers, and strong team leadership to drive progress on each account.   Most importantly, you will be the business leader for your accounts - contributing to strategy, setting direction, and achieving success in all facets.   You must be self-driven, capable of operating autonomously through ambiguity, and constantly striving for excellence.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Coordinate a core team of cross-functional members involved in engaging and supporting the customer, driving EPYC platform design wins for AI Workloads and revenue capture.
  • Alongside Sales, be a primary contact point in customer engagements, evangelizing AMD CPUs for AI technologies/products and capabilities. 
  • Identify key players in the growing AI market and cultivate strong technical and business relationship.
  • Drive and manage all CPU for AI pre-design win efforts and deliverables, including complex/enterprise-class engineering engagement which include scoping of any customer-specific customizations and support requirements. 
  • Contribute to the setting of account strategy, the resulting tactical milestones, and leading the team to achieve them. 
  • Understand the customer’s datacenter, AI and workload business goals and requirements; foster relationships and manage customer expectations to ensure needs are aligned with AMD business goals. 
  • Be a strong internal advocate for the customer and drive results across the organization, educating and evangelizing internally what customers need from CPUs for AI.
  • Understand customer h/w and s/w requirements, configurations, applications and architect solutions accordingly. 
  • Maintain awareness of, and provide reports on, customer status and key issues. 
  • Drive for highest levels of customer engagement and satisfaction.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Strong experience in the computing industry, at the OEM or MDCs. 
  • Substantial experience (5-10 yrs) in a customer-facing role across multiple functions within a large organization. Experience with AI players and/or CSPs a big plus. 
  • Knowledge of AI workloads and SW stack. 
  • Outstanding written, oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. 
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple simultaneous projects. 
  • Results driven.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

BS, or higher, in Engineering (Computer or Electrical) or relevant experience
