Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc., is hiring Manager Product Management to understand customer requirements to promote the sale of the company products and to provide technical sales support. Establish successful relationships with partners and customers and influence multiple partners without direct authority. Work with cross range of teams including engineering, legal, finances, sales, and operations to grow and strengthen AMD’s server business. Utilize understanding of cloud service providers, communications service providers, NEMs, global OEMs, and/or Sis, as a customer and/or partner. Identify requirements for next generation silicon and any struggles, performance demands, and be TCOP aligned. Build cases which includes identification capabilities, customer targets, PoC definition, event demos, GTM schedule, and volumes/ASPs’ estimates. Utilize experience with partner engagement model definition: co-engineering, invest, hire, contract-determination of efficient relationship. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including in cloud and communications centric technologies: storage, networking, security, media, Edge, MEC, IoT, and engineering and technology.

Qualifications: Degree required

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Four (4) years of experience in the job offered or closely related semiconductor engineering role.

Alternate combination of education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and six (6) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related semiconductor engineering role.

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

With either combination of education and experience, position requires four (4) years of experience in the following technologies and/or skills:

  • Hardware verification;
  • Logic and circuit design;
  • CAD tools;
  • SOC/system architecture;
  • RTL design/coding or ASIC design;
  • Verilog/VHDL/System Verilog;
  • Submicron ASIC design flow; and
  • ASIC design tools (synthesis, simulation, equivalence checking, static timing analysis)
