In the Player, Quality, and Insights (PQI) team, we have a mission to engage with our players early and often to help guide the creation of our games at EA. The Manager, Research Operations role has a front-row seat in helping us define this future. 

 Leading the Research Operations (ReOps) function of Player, Quality Insights (PQI), you will report to the Director of Operations.  As a cross-functional leader, you support the ReOps team throughout the research lifecycle, from strategy and planning to recruiting efforts and streamlining research operations and communications.  With a team of project managers, you will enhance the effectiveness of the playtesting events and ensure valuable user insights guide our game strategies. You are responsible for the "how" for the team and ensuring the team focuses on consistent delivery and measurable experiences.

 Partnering with teams across PQI and EA, you will ensure lab operations, project management, participant recruitment and technology are running smoothly. Focusing on continuous improvement, you will ensure that game research events are high-value and focused on player experience. 

Day in the Life 

  • Be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and career development.
  • Communicate project priorities, milestones, successes and metrics  
  • Improve processes and workflows, including defining root cause and gap analyses 
  • Oversee research contracts and tools 
  • Manage participant recruitment lifecycle, including 3rd party vendors 
  • Lead the processes and platforms for collecting and sharing research insights 
  • Provide support to our research team by maintaining best practices and resources 
  • Liaison for legal, security and Tech relating to research event

  • You have diverse project management experience with the ability to apply Agile principles in all project management activities. 
  • You are passionate and empathetic about solving problems and building happy, motivated teams.
  • Inspire fresh thinking and new ideas to ensure the team has the structure and processes that empower the team to innovate and affect meaningful change. 

Qualifications 

  • 5+ years in a project management leadership role 
  • Experience in Agile project management and Agile frameworks preferred 
  • Experience managing diverse teams across different time zones and locations.
  • Proven ability to effectively juggle priorities, ambiguity, and contexts.
  • Process and efficiency expert passionate about planning, tracking, organizing, and documentation. 

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):

      º $93,700 - $153,900 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
