As a Media Systems Engineer in the IT Discipline, we provide extraordinary standards of service for Riot’s operations. You’ll execute with excellence as part of a high-functioning, fast-paced team helping to design, manage, and support the audiovisual systems that Rioters rely on to collaborate every day around the globe to create impactful experiences for our players. With your AV project management experience, you’ll be the technical liaison with internal partners and external vendors across multiple concurrent projects around the world. You’ll be programming hardware and software for AV systems while implementing and evolving Riot’s standards. Your resourcefulness and intimate knowledge of your craft will make you the go-to resource for timely troubleshooting and support for all conferencing and specialty environments. Additionally, you will provide technical production guidance for internal and external facing live corporate events hosted by Riot.
Responsibilities:
- Innovate and evolve Riot AV standards and push the needle with new technological ideas and concepts
- Adapt AV systems in response to evolving design, business, and operational needs
- Capture project requirements, define dependencies, and value engineer project scopes
- Review vendor proposals and schematic drawings
- Manage on-site integration, coordination, and commissioning
- Holistically manage and support AV systems
- Collaborate with security, network engineering, and systems engineering to ensure infrastructure cohesion
- Conduct equipment maintenance and perform diagnostics to maintain equipment in conferencing and event environments
- Proactively monitor systems and troubleshoot technical issues to drive timely resolution and maintain operational excellence
- Generate documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of direct work experience
- Deep craft expertise and strong awareness of current trends in audio, video, and control systems (Biamp, Crestron, NewTek, Audinate, Logitech preferred)
- Experience programming Crestron and Biamp systems
- Advanced knowledge of video conference tools and troubleshooting (Meet, Zoom, Webex, MS Teams)
- Project management experience taking full ownership with a personal sense of accountability in global deployments of AV systems and technologies with a localization mindset
- Experience in AVoIP and digital signage implementation and management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide range of design, construction, workplace, and technology specialists
- Self-starting and effective in triage and time management
- Strong customer focus with the ability to interface with personnel at all levels (staff, executives, stakeholders)
- Good understanding of network topology and security concepts
