Micro Architect Design Engineer

THE ROLE: 

The focus of this role is to architect, design, and support verification & validation of PMA subsystems of SERDES PHY.

THE PERSON :

Ideal person will enjoy working in a fast paced dynamic environment and can work with cross functional global teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

AMD SERDES Technology group develops high-performance multi-protocol wireline transceivers in advanced CMOS PDKs.  We are seeking a PMA designer/micro-architect to join our world-class team. The job responsibilities include following tasks:

• Define the architecture of transceivers, feasibility study, generate and document sub-block circuit level specifications
• RTL design of digital blocks, including calibration loops, CDR, equalization adaptation, DSP, scheduler, interface handshaking
• Working with verification and validation teams, during pre-tape out and silicon testing

 EDUCATION:

• PhD in electrical engineering or related field
