Develop and/or test electrical components and/or systems for semiconductor products. Design, develop, and/or manage activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release and end of life. Duties include: Serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution; Involvement last throughout all stages of a product’s lifestyle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line; Work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors; Under limited supervision, exercise judgement within defined company procedures and practices to select methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results; and mentor less experienced members of technical staff in solving complex problems related to the development of AMD products.
Amount and type of experience required:
MASTER’S DEGREE IN COMPUTER ENGINEERING, ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, OR ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING. FOREIGN EQUIVALENT DEGREE ACCEPTED.
Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
POSITON REQUIRES TWO (2) YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING SKILLS: PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT LIFECYCLE FOR MASS PRODUCED SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICES SUCH AS CPUS, GPUS, OR SOCS; PERL, SHELL, VERILOG, TCL, VHDL, OR MATLAB; TEST PLAN DEFINITION, TEST PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT, CHARACTERIZATION FLOWS/PROGRAMS, TEST PATTERN GENERATION, DFT PRINCIPLES, DESIGN VALIDATION, OR SIMULATION BASED DIAGNOSTICS; COMPLEX DATA ANALYSIS FOR TEST PATTERN DEBUGGING, TEST TIME REDUCTION, YIELD IMPROVEMENT, TEST PROGRAM OPTIMIZATION, OR RELIABILITY ENHANCEMENT; PRODUCT STRATEGY, INCLUDING COORDINATING REQUIRED RESOURCES AND COLLABORATING WITHCROSS-FUNCTIONAL ENGINEERING TEAMS; AND SOC TESTER PLATFORM, SCAN TESTING, ATE TOOLS, EDA TOOLS, OR SIMULATION TOOLS.
Alternate Education and experience accepted:
Employer will accept alternate combination of employment and experience: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or electronics engineering and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
