MTS SILICON DESIGN ENGINEER 

THE ROLE: 

The focus of this role is to plan, build, and execute the verification of new and existing features for AMD’s graphics processor IP, resulting in no bugs in the final design.  

 

THE PERSON: 

You have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/timezones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop/Maintain tests for functional verification and performance verification at the block level.
  • Build testbench components to support the IP verification.
  • Maintain or improve current test libraries to support IP level testing.
  • Develop, analyze and close the functional coverage. Analyze and close the code coverage.
  • Provide technical support to other teams.
  • Lead or mentor the junior engineers in the team.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • 8+ years of verification experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of SV/UVM.
  • Strong verification fundamentals and strong debugging skills.
  • Good knowledge of assertions and functional coverage coding and closure.
  • Good knowledge on code coverage analysis and closure.
  • Good knowledge of any scripting language.
  • Good Knowledge of AXI Protocols.
  • Experience in formal verification is a plus.
  • Good Communication Skills.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

    • Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
