Research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing. Duties include: perform RTL design and verification using Verilog/System Verilog and front-end design/verification tools & flows; develop architectural and micro-architectural design of AMD CPU core; analyze performance, timing and power of design unit; collaborate with various stakeholders to meet project goals; perform RTL coding of features, enhancements and bugs; develop unit and interface specifications; debug issues and support pre-silicon and post-silicon design verification teams; implement engineering change order of critical bug fixes to fit project timelines; and assess and establish design flows and methodologies related to performance analysis of semiconductors and/or the software used to run semiconductors.
Amount and type of experience required:
MASTERS DEGREE IN COMPUTER ENGINEERING, ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, OR ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING. FOREIGN EQUIVALENT DEGREE ACCEPTED.
Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.
FOR EITHER COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, POSITION REQUIRES THREE (3) YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING TECHNOLOGIES AND/OR SKILLS: Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL; Logic design, circuit design, or CMOS transistor design; GPU Architecture, CPU Architecture, or Computer Architecture; RTL design/coding, RTL verification, or hardware verification; Submicron ASIC design flow, ASIC design tools, ASIC simulation, equivalence checking, or static timing analysis; Back-end or front-end EDA tools; TCL, Perl, or Python; Logic Design, Power Saving Techniques, Timing Closure or Performance Simulators; and Silicon debug or RTL debug.
EMPLOYER WILL ACCEPT ANY SUITABLE COMBINATION OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, OR EXPERIENCE.

ALTERNATE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE ACCEPTED: BACHELORS DEGREE (OR FOREIGN EQUIVALENT) IN COMPUTER ENGINEERING, ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, OR ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING. FOREIGN EQUIVALENT DEGREE ACCEPTED, AND FIVE (5) YEARS OF PROGRESSIVE POST-BACCALAUREATE EXPERIENCE IN THE JOB OFFERED OR CLOSELY RELATED ENGINEERING ROLE.
