MTS IP VERIFICATION ENGINEER 

THE ROLE: 

AMD is looking for a specialized hardware IP verification engineer who is passionate about robust IP verification for First Time Silicon Success. You will be a member of a core team of incredibly talented industry specialists and will work with the very latest hardware and software technology.  

THE PERSON: 

The ideal candidate should be passionate about IP verification engineering and possess leadership skills to drive sophisticated issues to resolution. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Work with AMD’s architecture specialists to improve future products  
• Apply a data minded approach to target verification and optimization efforts 
• Stay informed of hardware verification trends and innovations, especially pertaining to algorithms, architecture and IP Verification
• Design and develop new groundbreaking AMD technologies 
• Participating in new ASIC and hardware bring ups  

• Debugging/fix existing issues and research alternative, more efficient ways to accomplish the same work 
• Develop technical relationships with peers and partners 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Proven experience in Hardware IP verification
• Strong hands-on experience in creating and maintaining verification infrastructure like scripts, test benches, and regression
• Experience in RTL and gate level simulations and debug tools
• Familiar with Synopsys and Cadence EDA tools for simulation
• Exposure to Verilog RTL design, HW functional verification concepts/test methodology, and verification languages (System Verilog/C++) is also desirable
• Comfortable in Linux environment and scripting languages such as Shell & Python

• Experience in Video IP verification is a plus
• Experience with software development processes and tools such as debuggers, source code control systems (Git) is a plus 
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
