MTS SOFTWARE SYSTEM DESIGN ENGINEER 

 

THE ROLE: 

We are seeking individuals with a desire to address challenging problems on a daily basis. Virtual Bring-Up (VBU) is a premiere central methodology team that strives towards excellence, utilizes novel industry technologies and comes up with innovative ways to address execution challenges. 

 

THE PERSON: 

As part of VBU, you will collaborate with top EDA vendors in evaluating their latest largescale enterprise FPGA prototyping platforms for AMD SoC designs. You will be able to make an impact over the FPGA based enterprise products and roadmaps. You will create methodologies for multi-vendor platforms to enable easy user deployment.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Collaborate with program leads across AMD business units to enable the recommended enterprise prototyping methodologies, as well as improve SoC program execution efficiency.
  • Support and development of emulation and prototyping builds, regression infrastructure and continuous integration framework. Own development and maintenance of comprehensive methodology specification process.
  • Drive technical workstreams with EDA partner Apps / R&D teams to resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with EDA partners to enhance their product offerings and participate in quarterly technical reviews.
  • Multi-task various high priority developments with customer enablement.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • FPGA prototyping or relevant Emulation platform experience.
  • Computer architecture, RTL design, development or verification backgrounds.
  • Experience with at least one leading EDA vendor's enterprise prototyping platform like Palladium/Protium, Veloce/Primo or Zebu/EP1.
  • Solid understanding of FPGA synthesis and prototyping flows.
  • Must have high-level programming ability in Verilog, C++, Perl or Python.
  • Experience with scripting languages.
  • Virtual motherboard/platform experience is a big plus.
  • BIOS FW experience is a big plus.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • M.S. or Bachelor 10+ years in Electrical Engineering and related fields, or equivalent. Minimum 5+ years' experience in pre-silicon emulation or prototyping and delivery of pre-silicon solutions for complex SOCs.
