THE ROLE:

Our team is looking for a MTS Board System Test Engineer for Alveo/Instinct product line to drive & shape up the testing of next generation architecture & design for PCIe based FPGA/asic Accelerator and Smart Network Interface cards targeted to multiple market segments & applications. The position provides a rich learning environment that is highly cross-functional with architecture, design, FW, SW, reliability, and manufacturing and provides for unique leadership opportunities. The position is within the AECG Product Test Development (formerly XBO Technical Group) based in Singapore.

THE PERSON:

• Able to work as an individual and as part of a team to deliver product.
• Able to articulate ideas clearly.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Actively participate & lead board / system level testing of AMD Alveo/Instinct product line in manufacturing. Role will involve IP design, product validation, work with NPI & other engineering teams to release the product for volume production.
• Define and drive technical requirements, test strategy - structural & functional test, system level debug, characterization & yield enhancement.
• Closely work with CM’s to architect and deploy test solutions for high volume manufacturing.
• Continuously improve test methodology with increased focus on coverage, debug support, failure diagnosis.
• Work with Design, FW, SW, Solution and NPI teams to execute project milestones.
• Plan infrastructure needs for product development roadmaps & schedule management.
• Organize & track project issue list, requirements, meeting minutes via conventional (Excel, Power-point etc.), or specific project management tools (JIRA, Microsoft Project etc.) & effectively communicate the rationale for assigned actions to stakeholders & drive for closure.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Board level boundary scan, structural and functional testing.
• System level debug and diagnostics methodologies and tools.
• Bare metal/embedded code development in C.
• Scripting with tcl, python and shell.
• Use of lab equipment like Oscilloscopes, multimeter, power supplies etc.
• Working with cross-functional teams located in different geographies.
• Xilinx FPGA and Vivado experience will be a plus.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• B.Eng or M.Eng in Electronics / Computer Engineering or equivalent.
