For our new Boston studio we're seeking for an experienced Network & Systems Administrator with expertise in managing firewalls, network switches, AWS, Azure, SaaS applications, and both Linux & Windows server administration. The prefect candidate should have a strong focus on end-user support. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our IT environment. This includes taking ownership of our local and cloud network infrastructures, SaaS applications, and on-premises servers, all while providing exceptional level 1 and 2 support to end users.

Responsibilities

• Firewall Management: Configure, monitor, and maintain our Checkpoint firewalls, ensuring network security and implementing necessary access controls.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Administer and optimize cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security.
• SaaS Administration: Manage and support SaaS applications, ensuring their availability, performance, and user access controls.
• Server Administration: Perform administration tasks for Linux and Windows servers, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• User Management: Administer user accounts, access permissions, and security settings within various systems and applications.
• Integration and Automation: Collaborate with teams to integrate systems and automate processes, enhancing efficiency and productivity.
• End User Support: Provide timely and effective support to end users, assisting them with system-related inquiries, issues, and requests for tier 1 and 2 issues..
• Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve complex technical problems related to systems and applications, ensuring minimal disruption to end users and operations.
• Perforce Administration: Manage and maintain the Perforce version control system, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance tasks.
• VSphere Administration: You will be managing and maintaining VSphere virtualization infrastructure, including virtual machine deployment, configuration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• User Onboarding and Offboarding: Oversee the comprehensive process of onboarding new users, including account setup, access provisioning, and training. Similarly, manage the offboarding process to ensure the secure and timely deactivation of user access and preservation of data when necessary.
• VLAN Management: Experience in configuring and managing Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), including creating VLANs, assigning ports, implementing VLAN trunks, and troubleshooting VLAN connectivity and security issues.

• Experience configuring and maintaining firewalls and network switches.
• Familiarity with end user support and a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Solid understanding of general systems administration principles, networking concepts, and operating systems (Windows 10, 11, Server 2019, Linux, etc.).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation tasks.
• Strong understanding of backup and recovery strategies for critical systems and data.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and end users across different time zones and cultures.
• Active Directory Administration: Proficiency in managing and maintaining Active Directory infrastructure, including user and group management, organizational unit (OU) administration, group policy implementation, and security controls.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate potential problems and take preventive actions.

Nice to have

• Perforce Experience: Familiarity with Perforce version control system, including branch and merge strategies, workspace management, and integration with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is a plus.
• Checkpoint Firewalls Knowledge: Experience in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Checkpoint Firewalls, including a solid understanding of network security protocols, rules, and VPN configurations is highly desirable.
• vSphere Proficiency: Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, including the setup, administration, and optimization of virtual machines and ESXi hosts, with a focus on performance tuning and high availability, will be considered an advantage.
• Experience in cloud infrastructure with AWS, Azure and SaaS applications.
