THE ROLE:

The Marketing Manager will develop Lenovo (Partner) /AMD co-marketing strategies, priorities and implement marketing programs that impact AMD’s and Partner marketing and sales goals. The marketing manager will create, deepen and broaden relationships with key marketing, alliance and product partners within these two partners.

 

THE PERSON:

The candidate will need to be prepared to jump in, take the lead and learn quickly. The candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively, navigate thru complex situations with strong problem-solving skills and is highly organized and have interpersonal skills.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create strong links and relationships between AMD and Partner consumer marketing and  Alliance teams
  • Build links within regional marketing to enable strong relationships in region
  • Develop and manage WW co-marketing funds and program terms; Communicate strategies and fund guidelines to regions and own WW plan roll-ups
  • Partner with Lenovo on executing global and regional co-marketing campaigns and activations (digital, retail, training, social/influencers, Lenovo.com and more) as well as driving product launch milestones with Lenovo’s new AMD powered platforms
  • Align AMD planning cycles with partner timelines and drive AMD brand and value proposition within partner led content and consumer marketing engine
  • Work and collaborate in lockstep with Global Account Management teams and Regional teams to drive co-marketing programs designed to drive demand and sales velocity through several channels including digital, retail, training, events and more.
  • Be the primary interface representing these two partners within AMD’s internal marketing forums to drive the partner needs internally and be the primary marketing interface directly with Lenovo representing AMD
  • Ensure that Lenovo is represented in AMD’s marketing efforts (product launches, website, etc.) and lead execution of launch activities of key platforms
  • Be knowledgeable about the dynamics of the partners organization to understand their goals, pain points and opportunities to better enhance AMD’s marketing effectiveness & integration within partner campaigns
  • Ensure timely and relevant communications about AMD products and other updates to the partner marketing, Alliances and product contacts
  • Work with AMD’s teams and with partners to measure effectiveness of programs and be able to apply learnings for future programs

 

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong experience in partner marketing management and leading go-to market co-marketing activations
  • A strong and in depth understanding of OEM/partner marketing and sales structure and their ways of operations
  • Strong background in marketing fundamentals (Budget and contract management experience)
  • Experience in a customer facing or account management role
  • Self-motivated and prepared to jump in and lead
  • Exceptional presentation, communication and storytelling ability in presentation formats and verbally
  • A proven track record of keeping projects on schedule and within budget
  • Ability to meet challenging timelines
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Thorough understanding of current marketing strategies, digital platforms and trends
  • Experience utilizing market research and market data to develop marketing strategies and programs
  • Creative problem solving and accountability
  • Sharp, responsible, and highly organized
  • Ability to plan and prioritize multiple tasks effectively and meets deadlines in a timely manner

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing preferred
