PMTS SILICON DESIGN ENGINEER
THE ROLE:
We are seeking a seasoned team leader with experience in silicon device applications for communications markets. You will lead a focused team creating HW/SW test environments for networking IP, developing proof of concept systems and working with customers to define next-generation IP requirements. In addition, you will have the opportunity of engaging with customers to define next-generation IP requirements and providing networking IP expertise to field support teams.

You have excellent communication and presentation skills, demonstrated through technical presentations, trainings, customer interactions, etc. You are highly adept at collaboration among top-thinkers in Sales, Marketing and Engineers alike. You are results focused, able to design efficient implementable solutions in a timely manner and prove it by test metrics. You are ready to mentor and guide, and help to elevate the knowledge and skills of the team around you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead architecture and implementation of lab testing environments of next generation of networking IP and silicon devices
- Develop comprehensive lab test scenarios to ensure IP spec conformance and performance metrics are met
- Working with customers to showcase IP solutions and understand next generation requirements
- Develop technical specifications and/or micro-architecture for IP blocks and subsystems, and provide technical direction to execution teams
- Knowledge sharing and other contributions to Platform & System Architecture
- As an applications leader, responsible for architecture analysis and technical solutions for marketing/feature change requests
- Provide factory-level networking IP expertise and support to field teams
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 10+ years experience delivering IP, systems or services for the communications/networking market
- Deep understanding of Ethernet and IP networking protocols
- Expertise in ASIC/FPGA design and SW design
- Experience with networking test equipment
- Experience leading small teams
- Excellent communication, management, and presentation skills.
- Adept at collaboration among top-thinkers and senior architects with strong interpersonal skills to work across teams in different geographies
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related discipline preferred
