ROLE:

This role is an exciting opportunity in SBIO team to create hardware validation platforms and debugging complex issues involving both hardware and software. Collaborate with design and firmware teams to define validation plans and execute on emulation platforms.

 

THE PERSON:

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a pronounced attention to detail
  • Strong communication, mentoring and leadership skills
  • Self-driven, Methodical and attention to detail in troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Can work well with cross functional teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop pre-silicon models using commercial prototyping or emulation platforms
  • Collaborate with design, verification and firmware teams to debug issues found on both prototyping and emulation platforms.
  • Improve internal flows and processes.
  • Innovate in the area of emulation and contribute in architecture reviews and planning.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:  

  • 12+ years of experience in field of hardware prototyping/emulation
  • Have worked with the leading emulation and prototyping vendors (Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor) to debug issues and deploy new capabilities 
  • Experience with Emulation of full-SoC design with embedded processors
  • Experience building, running and debugging SoC system failures on emulation platforms (Zebu, Palladium or Veloce)
  • Broad software debug experience with C/C++ and knowledge of low-level assembly programming languages 
  • Fluent in System Verilog and a familiarity with VHDL hardware design languages, simulation and debug 
  • Familiarity with industry standard high-speed protocols such as USB and PCIE is a plus

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:  

  • BS ( or higher ) degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering desired
