About this Role

Fandom is seeking an entrepreneurial product manager to initially develop and execute a 3-5-year vision for Fandom Video products. This role will own the customer experience for video players across Fandom, experimenting with new content formats and features to drive increased engagement and consumption.

You Will...

  • Partner closely with the Content Organization to define the vision, roadmap, and goals for new products and features focused on increasing engagement and growing the business
  • Develop ROI targets and incremental investment cases for Video products & features
  • Improve Video Discovery and optimize the Fandom Video Player placement, content, and features
  • Collaborate with Data Science to personalize video content for each Fandom visitor 
  • Develop best-in-class experiences while balancing the need to generate revenue through Ad products
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders from groups across the company including senior leadership, community, revenue, marketing, product, engineering, design, data, and more.
  • Develop new monetization features and sponsorship opportunities with the Revenue Organization
  • Collaborate with Marketing & Analytics to develop ways to drive new Video engagement across Fandom.
  • Use A/B testing, UX research, and other data, both quantitative and qualitative to inform product decisions and prioritization
  • Create product requirements and functional specifications to guide product development
  • Define what success looks like, how it will be measured, and how it will impact company-wide goals
  • Help analyze data and metrics to inform decisions
  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
  • Work closely with engineering teams to reliably deliver high-quality products and features
  • Work closely with the community team to drive feature adoption and user engagement

You Have...

  • 8+ years of product management experience with 2+ years on content-related consumer products
  • Track record of building new, innovative, and engaging customer experiences that are informed by customer data from various sources
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Excellent quantitative skills, with an ability to run A/B tests, conduct analysis, and draw meaningful insights to guide decision-making
  • Demonstrated track record of product leadership with the ability to lead and influence teams
  • Ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience
  • Proven experience defining and measuring engagement metrics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion about the entertainment space and are a fan yourself

Bonus Points…

  • Experience with digital video player products.
  • Experience in digital advertising or working with a publisher.
