Get to know the role

  • Job Title: Print Production Planner (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)
  • Job Summary: Reporting to the Production Manager, this role is responsible for supporting project management of print production. This role is the liaison between internal teams and external printing vendors. Ensures that internal printing requirements are met or exceeded by external printers. primary responsibilities

What you’ll do

  • Collaborates with internal teams in supporting printing and manufacturing product by coordinating with external printing vendors on all details including scheduling, coordination on approvals, and track tasks through all production phases.
  • Builds relationships and interacts across multiple departments and partners. This involves clear status updates of a job and follow up to ensure deadlines are met
  • Organizes and awards all projects on comparative costing and capacity review amongst multiple vendors
  • Coordinates the creation of packaging design and layouts, development of new products and components, and implements quality control standards with the external vendors.
  • Provide complete and accurate purchase orders to vendors and provides assistance in inventory control and invoice discrepancies.
  • Provides and organizes all files to external vendors; and coordinates internal proofing review (both soft and hard proofing)
  • Organizes comprehensive Material and Printing Specifications to ensure vendors are adhering to the company’s sustainability program.  
  • Heads areas of process improvement implementation within the Production Team.
  • Interfacing with other teams to develop and provide advice on printing alternatives, status of projects in progress, and cost estimates.

               

What you’ll bring

  • 1–2 years Print buy experience or equivalent Print Management Education
  • Knowledge of the Printing Process and Material for effectivity quoting projects
  • Understanding of Project Management and Print Industry terminology and disciplines  
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Identify and lead areas of process improvements strategies
  • Accomplishing multiple diverse tasks in a fast-paced work environment
  • Detecting common print job issues and taking effective corrective actions
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Excelling in developing professional relationships with internal and external customers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and MS Project
  • Ability to potentially travel domestically once a quarter

  • Base salary range: $58,000.00 - $88,000.00. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. It is common for TPCi to start employees below the midpoint of the range. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
