Ranked gameplay, new player onboarding, and long-term retention of players is the core focus of the Player Progression team. As a Producer for the Player Progression  team, you are responsible for planning and driving  the execution for feature development in these important game areas. While  embracing  our player and gameplay-first philosophy, to help create a best-in-class experience for our players. 

In this role, you will be responsible for formulating a plan to execute on long and short-term goals. You are an excellent cross-functional partner that values and facilitates open communication, are adept at identifying and mitigating risks, and have a masterful understanding of dependency chains. You will partner closely with our Feature Development, Quality Verification, Product Management, Analytics, and Content teams to deliver excellent outcomes. 

What you’ll do...

  • In partnership with production, design, and technical directors / leads, drive development  for multiple concurrent features with staggered release windows.
  • Partner closely with team leads to understand their challenges and identify impediments to success, and ensure development is on track, on quality and aligned with goals and expectations.
  • Establish and maintain the team’s schedule and scope/capacity plans.
  • Focus on development processes, identifying inefficiencies and introducing production and development process improvements.
  • Be a conduit of communication, bring clarity between departments, and provide support to the team in a variety of different capacities.
  • Maintain and clearly communicate day-to-day priorities that align with overall game/feature vision.
  • Work closely with the Production team and department leads, identifying and informing the team of any issues or needs.
  • Look at long term strategies for any potential roadblocks and proactively address them.
  • Drive features from initial requests through release, feedback, iteration and maintenance.
  • Combat inertia, act as a force to keep moving things forward.
  • Partner effectively with other producers to support overall efforts of the department and help define and encourage production best practices.

Ideally you will have...

  • 3+ years of experience as a Producer on AAA game/s through the full development cycle, from concept to ship.
  • Experience with the highly-iterative nature of GaaS, live tuning, and frequent title updates.
  • Expertise in building, maintaining and delivering against a schedule that considers cross-functional dependencies. 
  • Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to juggle many things at once. 
  • Strong people skills. Empathy for fixing the problems of others, respect for others’ time.
  • Ability to effectively communicate goals, risks, and dependencies to development and leadership teams.
  • A keen eye for detail and a champion for high quality standards.
  • A strong understanding of game development methodologies.
  • Experience working with waterfall and agile planning methods.
  • Proactive tendencies, a sense of urgency, and a desire to get things done.
  • Ability to self-motivate and help motivate others.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
  • Intense passion for helping people and teams achieve their goals.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the range and benefits for your specific location.

Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

º $131,600 - $213,300 USD Annually
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
º $131,600 - $213,300 USD Annually
• Jersey City, NJ :
º $154,800 - $213,300 USD Annually
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
º $131,600 - $179,600 USD Annually
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
º $131,600 - $195,200 USD Annually
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $114,050 - $171,750 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
