As the Producer II on the Publishing Ecosystem Team, you will be a key leader on the team responsible for delivering content, news, and assets that power Riot's publishing efforts. In this role, you will partner with team product, design, and engineering leaders to define product roadmaps, cultivate a creative work environment, streamline workflows, and provide strong leadership to this pivotal team at the crossroads of our player-facing products and publishing strategy. Your success will be rooted in your production craft expertise, a collaborative approach, practiced leadership experience, and a relentless focus on delighting players. In this role, you’ll ensure your teams are predictable, visible, sustainable, and consistently creating valuable outcomes for players. You will report to the Senior Manager of Production for the Player Experience Initiative within the Player Platform business unit.
Responsibilities:
- Run team production, operation, and development processes for Riot Publishing Ecosystem Team.
- Ensure product outcomes, organizational goals, and valuable player experiences are achieved via successful planning and execution.
- Establish work systems, performance metrics, and set clear goals for team progress while partnering with other team leaders from engineering and design disciplines.
- Assess and drive team health and composition to ensure performance and success.
- Increase efficiency in how we approach development through the creation, maintenance, and optimization of meetings, artifacts, plans, and processes.
- Partner with product, engineering, quality, and design to drive the development strategy and vision for the team.
- Create strong communication channels and relationships with partner and customer teams.
- Lead, mentor, collaborate, and influence across disciplines and organizational boundaries.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Business, Engineering or other field of a quantitative or cross functional nature; or equivalent experience with strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and communication ability in dynamic fields such as technology, law, healthcare, military, finance, media, etc.
- 4+ years experience in game/software production or operations working with product managers, producers, engineers, and designers to build games or software applications.
- Demonstrated team leadership success spanning multiple years and projects; with the ability to guide product strategy and operations
- Deep understanding of operational and product management techniques and how to navigate around constraints while finding balanced solutions.
- Experience applying Agile and Lean development processes such as Scrum, Kanban, or Extreme Programming in service to iterative development of software products.
- Knowledgeable in Jira use, configuration, and limitations (or other work organization software system).
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with teams owning service development, automation, and tools powering marketing strategy, content operations, digital asset management, or content management services.
- Experience working with central teams building platform technology for a multi-game studio or game publishing studio.
- Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and services, building or maintaining APIs for content distribution, UX for internal tools, marketing technologies, and data-driven business decision making.
- 8+ years experience in game/software production or operations working with product managers, producers, engineers, and designers to build games or software applications.
