THE ROLE: 

As a Product Development engineer, you will collaborate with various Product Development Groups to bring-up and ramp the next-generation of AMD microprocessors. Role includes: test planning, debug, manufacturing test program development, characterization program development, and Scan/ATPG enablement on ATE.

 

THE PERSON: 

A successful candidate is one who can drive technical decisions independently, has accountability for accuracy, reliability, and completeness of assignment results critical to the project’s success.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Develop test program infrastructure incorporating latest best known methods 
  • Validate new product features, test conditions, test methodologies, and test contents during first silicon bring-up 
  • Post Silicon Bring up of Test patterns leading to optimization for mass production enablement 
  • Analysis of part failures leading to test improvement 
  • Test pattern & test flow development, debug, test and characterization 

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • 3+ years relevant experience
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Ruby, shell script 
  • Proficient in Linux, Unix, or Windows OS 
  • Experience in silicon debug, logic analyzers, voltmeters, oscilloscopes 
  • Statistical analysis experience to resolve population mean and outliers 
  • ATE (Automatic Test Equipment) test experience 

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

Bachelor’s or Master’s in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or comparable disciplines
