Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc., is hiring Product Development Engineer to Design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing production and manufacturing processes utilizing knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies. Evaluate, coordinate, and/or optimize various logistical functions and manufacturing processes and develop and/or provide test improvement feedback for future designs. Participate in post silicon bring up of test patterns/methods and monitor the performance of processes throughout production, leading to optimization for mass production enablement. Responsibilities include microprocessor debug & analysis and the execution of characterization plans, including silicon performance issues, yield issues, manufacturing processes, and device marginalities. Participate in samples planning and execution for new and sustaining AMD products. Optimize test flows for increased quality and cost improvement. Design, develop, and/or manage activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release and end of life. Serve as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution. Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product’s lifestyle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line. Utilize knowledge of production and processing, mathematics, physics, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering or related field.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: 12 months of experience in the job offered or closely related test engineering role

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

Position requires one (1) year of experience with the following technologies and/or skills:

• Unix/Linux environments;
• Python;
• Solution Design;
• Root Cause Investigation;
• Data Analysis;
• ATE test development experience; and
• Hands on experience with ATE tester and handlers.
