Design, develop, and/or carry out activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release and end of life. Duties include: execute product development activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through manufacturing, release and end of life; serve as a resource for internal and external engineers, designers, and/or manufacturers throughout the products lifecycle; develop and implement test programs and strategies to assess the reliability, efficiency, and/or performance of production processes, product design, or finished products; conduct complex analyses of diagnostic reports and production data to identify design weaknesses and manufacturing inefficiencies, and subsequently debug root causes of identified issues; participate in collaborative projects with cross-functional engineering teams to streamline the development of AMD’s next generation technology products; and communicate project updates to internal and external stakeholders.
Master’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or electronics engineering. Foreign equivalent accepted.
Completion of a university-level course, research project, internship or thesis involving the following: Verilog, System Verilog or VHDL; C, C++ or Python; Perl, TCL or Shell; computer architecture or VLSI design; or RTL verification, RTL simulations, coherence protocols, interconnect and memory system design or design flows/methodologies for chip verification.
