THE ROLE: 

AMD is looking for a highly motivated product management engineer to own and manage the customer experience for AMD’s tool flow and compilers for ML inferencing. The successful candidate will: 

• Facilitate adoption of AMD’s ML inferencing solutions by facilitating customer on-boarding and delivering best-in-class customer experience. 
• Work with R&D, marketing and key customers to drive the evolution of the product 
• Support strategic business engagements leveraging AMD’s ML inferencing solutions.

THE PERSON: 

The ideal candidate will be capable of communicating problems, solutions, and project status up to the executive level. You will provide technical supervision or mentoring to junior engineers and influence others as a technical leader. You have the capability assuming the consultative or leadership responsibilities for large projects or product development initiatives, while dealing with internal and external groups on behalf of the group or project. This role allows the opportunity to influence technical decisions that have a significant impact on multiple products or the product line. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Create, update and organize onboarding collateral 
• Develop and test tutorials and examples 
• Work with R&D to prioritize issues, manage escalations 
• Support internal and external customers, responding to questions and issues
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams on strategic engagements 
• Solve sophisticated, novel, and non-recurring problems; initiates significant changes to existing processes/ methods and leads development and implementation

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Candidate must have a MSEE or BSEE with 5+ years of experience in relevant areas
• Working experience with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow or Pytorch
• Working experience with C/C++ and/or Python
• Good understanding of FPGAs, ACAPs and GPUs
• Able to think like the end-user, understand their care-abouts and advocate for their needs
• Able to document solution with clarity and conciseness
• Good project management skills, laser focused on completing projects on time
• Experience with quantizing and pruning ML networks
• Familiarity with the Vitis AI solution will set you apart from other candidates

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

• Bachelors or Master’s in computer engineering or computer science or electrical engineering, or comparable disciplines
