Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc., is hiring Program Manager to Plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects. Lead and guide the work of technical staff. Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects. Research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductors and related devices, employing knowledge of electronic theory. Oversee development of one or more APU/CPU product lines including silicon, platform, software, IP validation, benchmarks, documentation, etc. Assist in developing and implementing project management best course, tools, templates, and metrics to drive continuous process improvement within engineering. Define program level goals in concert with Business teams. Support senior management to drive execution excellence, tracking & benchmarking. Lead the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits. Evaluate and make technical decisions regarding all aspects of the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use. Serve as technical leader across project or departmental boundaries to develop ASIC/layout design, working on issues that impact design or selling success or address future concepts, products or technologies. Drive projects or processes of significant technical importance. Exercise wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments. Utilize expertise with computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, design techniques, tools, and principles to develop resolution to critical issues and broad design matters. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related program management/analyst role.
Alternate combination of education and experience: Employer will accept alternate combination of education and experience: bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology and Management, Information Systems, Management, Data Science/Analytics, or a related field of study, plus five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related program management/analyst role.
Specific skills required: The following skills are required:
For either combination of education and experience, position requires two (2) years of experience in the following skills:
- Java/JavaScript, C, C++, or Python;
- MS SQL server;
- Power BI;
- Tableau;
