Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc., is hiring Program Managers to define, plan, and drive project and program objectives based on management and senior technical guidance. Scope technical feasibility of new products by clarifying and analyzing requirements with Architects, and Technical Leads. Define and manage key product deliverables/schedules and drive cross-functional activities to achieve both AMD and customer goals. Drive schedules, resources, status, and cross-functional alignment of engineering tasks. Establish formal program management artifacts, including a plan of record, statements of work, project/program timelines, budget, scope, performance, and quality KPIs. Identify and plan for risks in the development path, as well as identify prevention methods, and address them to save on engineering costs. Prepare necessary criteria, procedures, reports, or plans for successful conduct of the project with consideration given to site preparation, facility validation, installation, quality assurance, and/or testing. Evaluate project work to ensure effectiveness, technical adequacy, or compatibility in the resolution of complex electronics engineering problems. Align with AMD cross-functional teams with an emphasis on driving technical enablement/communications, technical support, and debug/issue resolution. Provide status reports on customer program schedules, and status and key issues. Identify program risks and develop mitigation plans. Manage customer critical issues and escalations.

Qualifications: Degree required

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: 3 years in the job offered or a related engineering or program management role.  

Alternate combination of education and experience: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related engineering or program management role.  

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

Must have 2 years of work experience in the following:

  • Hardware verification;
  • SOC/system architecture;
  • GPU architecture or CPU architecture;
  • Design flows and methodologies used for chip verification;
  • Business process analysis and supply chain design within semiconductor industry; and
  • Performing Data Analytics and business reporting and metrics.
