THE ROLE: 

Our company is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented Project Manager/Business Analyst to drive our major corporate initiatives and streamline our processes. This role will have dual responsibilities as a project manager and data analyst. The individual will be responsible for driving Procurement Projects in collaboration with the lead Strategic Sourcing Manager for the respective categories across the AMD Indirect Procurement Team. The individual will also aid in business analytics, drive process improvement, and support Strategic Sourcing Managers in driving global procurement strategies, and implementing supplier development programs that has a coordinated long-term approach to cost, quality, and services. This includes but may not be limited to developing procurement project management strategy and implementing new or simplified process within Indirect Procurement to support both our department and corporate goals. Developing successful relationships with the Indirect Procurement team members, key partners, internal customers, and suppliers is key.

THE PERSON: 

You are a strong communicator who has the ability to understand both high-level strategies and detailed tactical matters. Results oriented, you are resourceful and can work effectively with a variety of stakeholders. You demonstrate a strong knowledge of and execution of program management, a track record of supporting delivery of product launches in the hi-tech industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management and business analysis, as well as strong data analytics skills. This person will be responsible for identifying and optimizing processes, analyzing data from varying sources, and recommending & implementing efficiencies to improve team functionality. This individual will act as a guide for team members when project management skills are needed and may lead department training, projects, and/or programs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Identify, simplify and optimize processes to enhance team functionality
  • Lead and manage corporate and organization initiatives and projects
  • Review and analyze data from various sources to identify trends and provide recommendations on efficiencies
  • Manage data analytics & data source optimizations for the organization
  • Monitor project performance, identify areas of improvement and recommend effective solutions
  • Coordinate with different departments for successful project implementation
  • Assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Collect and process large data sets from multiple sources for analysis
  • Clean and validate data to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Develop and maintain data systems, databases, and dashboards
  • Analyze data and create reports to extract valuable insights and trends
  • Use statistical tools to identify patterns and trends in data
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Present findings to stakeholders through data visualization tools and techniques
  • Compile detailed reports and data analysis to support project management decisions
  • Plan, execute, and deliver projects within scope, timeline, and budget while ensuring quality standards are met
  • Create project plans, timelines, and secure necessary resources for project success
  • Develop project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and reports
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are aligned with business goals
  • Create and manage risk mitigation plans to anticipate and address project-related issues before they occur
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and quality standards
  • Clearly and effectively present project status updates at various org levels including up to Executive presentations

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:  

  • Strong data analytics skills, with the ability to both analyze and manage complex data sets, experience in data management preferred
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change in a fast-paced business environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and as part of a team

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
