Your life at Ubi

As QA Specialist you will be a part of the Technology Group Department. We are the primary technology partner of game production teams. We develop tools, middleware and online solutions used in Ubisoft games. We also provide advisory services to production teams that request an external viewpoint on challenges for which we have the necessary technical expertise.

The TG Software Test Team is comprised of tech-savvy individuals with a great passion for testing and quality. We work in a fast-paced environment, on a wide range of niche tools used for game development.

 

Your main mission

  • Identify and report software defects, usability concerns and validate defect correction.
  • Execute and report test activity on projects to direct manager.
  • Review business specifications for new features and manage project test documentation.
  • Support programmers in issue resolution.
  • Challenge the development team on Quality and Usability of new features.
  • Analyze business requirements & reviews acceptance criteria
  • Create and maintain automated tests using automation tools that require either no code or low-code

 

The professional value you bring

  • Significant experience in Quality Assurance (troubleshooting, test) and with Software Testing principles, procedures and working methodologies
  • Knowledge of defect tracking software (Jira or similar).
  • Knowledge of test management software (TestRail, X-Ray, or similar).
  • Knowledge of test automation practices and software (TDD, BDD, Ranorex, Selenium, or similar).
  • Knowledge of API testing
  • Familiarity with Source Control Management software (Git/GitLab, Perforce, or similar)
  • Experience with Postman, SoapUI or other similar testing tools

Nice to have:

  • Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is a plus.
  • The Informal School of IT – Software testing module is a plus.
  • ISTQB Course is a plus.
  • Previous Game testing or Software testing represents a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript or C# / WPF.
  • Ability to understand and edit a JSON/XML file.
  • Ability to read and understand a log file.
