When you’re a Rendering Engineer on Rocksmith+, you connect with our players on two of the most basic aspects of a game: its visuals and its performance. Your exceptional engineering skills, your sharp eye for visual detail, and your knowledge of GPUs allow you to write our most fundamental code and deliver a stunning visual experience.

You’ll also be part of the diverse Ubisoft San Francisco team. We embrace a variety of work situations based on what is best for the team, and we welcome people working in our SF office, remotely from other locations, or some combination of the two. We put a priority on supporting our team members and what makes them happiest and most productive.

 WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Develop graphics technology to take full advantage of our user’s mobile devices
  • Collaborate with artists and technical artists to improve visual fidelity and rendering speed
  • Develop and optimize shaders (HLSL code) for the various target GPUs
  • Implement new graphics features and expose those new interfaces to gameplay
  • Extend engine code to take advantage of new rendering techniques
  • Work closely with mobile or console hardware to find performance optimizations
  • Working on all aspects of rendering from the content creation tools to the data pipeline to the render backend to the GPU

WHAT YOU\'LL BRING

  • Strong C++ coding skills
  • Solid understanding of graphics programming for mobile devices or related experience in console or PC development
  • Successful rendering experience working with graphics APIs such as Direct3D, Vulkan, or OpenGL
  • A proficiency to communicate with all disciplines and to support and elevate the team in terms of visuals and performance
  • A thorough grasp of vector math, memory management, and multithreaded programming techniques
  • Experience developing on video-game consoles or mobile platforms and in performance optimization for mobile platforms
  • An interest in learning new technologies, engines, rendering techniques, and programming languages
  • Android, iOS, or Console Rendering programming experience
  • GPU Optimization, shaders, and platform experience
