Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora™ is a first person, action-adventure game developed by Massive Entertainment – a Ubisoft studio in collaboration with Lightstorm Entertainment and Disney. Built using the latest iteration of the Snowdrop engine, and developed exclusively for the new generation of consoles and PC, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora brings to life the alluring world of Pandora with all of its beauty and danger in an immersive, open world experience.

As a Senior AI Programmer, you will help create our next AAA game! As part of our dedicated AI team, you will work closely with other programmers, designers, artists and testers. In your day-to-day work, you will develop new game features using Massive’s in-house engine, Snowdrop™. Working as part of the AI team, your primary focus will be on implementing and maintaining the various AI systems.

This is a permanent position based in Malmö, Sweden, and requires working onsite. We kindly ask you to apply with your CV and message to the hiring manager / cover letter in English. Applications will be reviewed whilst the job-ad is posted.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, debug, and iterate on new and existing AI systems and features 
  • Development in a C++ multithreaded engine, using modern techniques
  • Performance awareness in algorithms as well as in memory and bandwidth usage

You as a person
You have previous experience in the games industry. You enjoy working autonomously, and you know how to structure your tasks. You pay attention to quality and detail in your day-to-day work. You co-operate and communicate efficiently with the other members of your team. Besides the above we’re looking for someone aligned with our core values and the following skills and experience:

  • AI game development experience
  • Professional experience working with C++ programming in the games industry
  • Knowledge of the process and life-cycle of games development
