Senior Business and Market Development Manager, OEM/ODM/SI
THE ROLE:
The Senior Business and Market Development Manager, OEM/ODM/SI will play a key role within the AMD data center GPU business unit. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining a critical understanding of GPU accelerators used for HPC and deep learning use cases, along with the key OEM/ODM platform solutions for these markets, and provide feedback for future product roadmaps and investment, particularly in the commercial (i.e. - Enterprise) space, including the sales ecosystem and both technical and business drivers. This person will have direct responsibility for top server OEMs such as Dell, HPE, and Lenovo, and analyze competitive environments, recommend, and lead plans of action that will maximize AMD’s profitability and returns. The Senior Business and Market Development Manager, OEM/ODM will be responsible for developing customer engagement plans, working closely with AMD’s sales and other key customer-facing teams, building the needed customer relationships, and working with internal teams to get the required customer support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for growing GPU accelerator business for the commercial space (enterprise HPC/ML), working with the top server OEMs/ODMs and SI’s as appropriate
- Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with OEM/ODM/SI partner sales teams as well as collaborating with extended teams to drive pipeline generation activities with our partner sales ecosystem
- Create, execute and maintain the business plan for data center GPU accelerators for private cloud/enterprises through the OEM/ODM channel
- Accountability for accurately capturing customer requirements and translating them to product requirements.
- Responsible for driving AMD account teams to achieve revenue and gross margin targets.
- Develop new and maintain existing business models
- Provide market analysis and recommendations on AMD Instinct™ product roadmap and direction.
- Work closely with AMD data center GPU product team to maximize product performance, innovation, and competitive positioning.
- Communicate internally and externally about AMD data center GPU value proposition, and offerings. Help field teams understand the portfolio and help customers successfully adopt them.
- Work closely with Marketing group to align product strategy to appropriate markets for optimum solutions messaging
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience at a key server OEM is desired (example, Dell, HPE, Lenovo)
- Prior experience in Product Marketing, Product Management, or Business Development within a high-tech, graphics, or PC company.
- Experience working with graphics preferred - either discrete GPUs or integrated GPUs.
- Must enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and have outstanding teamwork skills.
- Must have a passion for innovation, be comfortable defining a way forward in the face of ambiguity, and have the ability to scale and influence broadly
- Demonstrable experience with market analysis and technology road-mapping.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Business or Technical degree required; Graduate degree desired.
