  • Job Title: Senior Customer Data Platform Product Engineer
  • Job Summary: The Senior Customer Data Platform Product Engineer will drive Customer Data Platform (CDP) initiative within The Pokémon Company International.  This position will be primarily responsible to deliver against the CDP roadmap across various business areas including marketing teams, ecommerce and organized play and technology.  This role will function as a technical SME for the CDP and aid in driving adoption and integrations across different business platforms and technology stacks.    In addition, this position will assist with the data strategy and customer data optimization across the company and aid in accelerating in execution of customer campaign activations.  The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, be self-directed, collaborative, drive accountability and have a keen ability to operate within a customer data platform and management of customer data

What you’ll do

  • Drive solution design and execution of new use cases for the Customer Data Platform (CDP)
  • Identify areas of optimization to streamline our customer data in CDP
  • Own and maintain CDP  workflows and orchestration on a day to day basis
  • Partner with technology  and business platform team to drive integration in and out of the CDP
  • Drive decisioning on key product decisions on customer data
  • Influence business and technology teams to align on CDP projects and initiatives  
  • Partner with various business teams to accelerate customer activations across the company through designing and executing of use cases
  • Drive adoption of utilization of a CDP across the company
  • Design best practices and data strategy across the company to be utilized  for the CDP
  • Build reports and dashboards on performance and customer data as needed 
  • Translate business requirements to technical solutions

             

What you’ll bring

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of related within data engineering, data analytics or marketing analytics.
  • Bachelors degree required.
  • 3+ years working within a Customer Data Platform  (CDP) or maintenance of a CDP
  • Experience with large, various types of big data (customer, web, transactional, offline data sources, etc.)
  • Experience with data visualization through Looker, Tableau or similar tools
  • Expert user of SQL language
  • Ability to work and communicate across multiple technology and business teams
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with architecture for customer data and orchestration
  • Experience with modern programming languages (Python, JavaScript, etc) a plus
  • Experience with various analytic engines (Hive or Trino (Presto)) a plus
  • Experience with Treasure Data a plus
  • Experience with Air flow a plus 
  • Experience with identity resolutions a plus
  • Cloud based experience a plus 

Base Salary Range: For this role, new hires generally start between $151,000 - 179,550. The full range is $151,000 - $227,000. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. The final base salary is directly related to the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
