If you are looking to use your knowledge of data engineering to enhance the user experience and to drive the business decisions in a renowned entertainment company, this is the job you have been looking for. Main responsibilities:

  • Manage and evolve a highly performant data infrastructure
  • Write code that forms a data processing pipeline that gathers and cleans data from multiple sources (e.g. clickstream logs)
  • Manage cloud-based AWS Data Lake used by business analysts and data scientists in their daily work
  • Take ownership and cooperate with stakeholders to architect and build out new data pipelines and data warehouse
  • Monitor the data quality and the data availability to give confidence in our numbers
  • Partner with Data Science to industrialize their prototypes and models
  • Collaborate with Software Engineering to feed data services and other products 

 

You are…

  • 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or related
  • Bachelor or master in the field of Computer Science or related (Data Science/Maths/Econometrics or similar...)
  • Strong interest in the entertainment industry
  • Ability to communicate well in Polish and English (both written and verbal)
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Experience in working on Cloud platforms, preferably AWS
  • Knowledge of Hadoop stack (ideally AWS ElasticMapReduce)
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ready to 'wear many hats' as we occasionally work with Java, PHP and JS

 

Bonus points if…

  • Experience of collaboration with, or mentoring of, data scientists or ML engineers. Ideally in the area of deployment and monitoring ML models on production
  • Proficiency in writing Apache Spark code, in Scala or in Python 
  • Experience with DevOps/DataOps (e.g. Docker + Kubernetes, Apache Airflow, Jenkins + CI/CD for Data Engineering pipelines)
