Fandom is growing! Our Senior Data Engineer opportunity is based in Poland, and reports to our Senior Manager of Data Engineering.
Are you an experienced data engineer who is ready to set directions for the development of our data platform to the next level?
Would you love to be in charge of improving the data lake for a top media website in the entertainment world with hundreds of millions of users, billions of page views and hundreds of billions of events?
As a member of our Data Engineering team, you will enhance, support, and maintain our current data lake and ETL/ELT infrastructure.
You Will...
Play a significant role in setting directions for the development of our data platform to the next level
Work closely with our experienced engineering and analytical teams on the design, development, and maintenance of our data flows
Provide appropriate data tools and infrastructure to data consumers such as the analytics teams to ease their work
Provide mentorship to less experienced members of the team
Work on challenging team projects to improve our data infrastructure
You Have...
Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting the AWS stack (e.g. EC2, Athena, EMR, MWAA, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch)
Experience in Python
Skills managing the distributed infrastructure
Experience with Airflow
Knowledge in BigData processing technologies (Spark, Hadoop)
Knowledge in containerisation technologies (Docker)
Experience with Infrastructure as a code solutions (Terraform, Cloudformation, Serverless)
Bonus Points...
Experienced in one of modern programming languages (besides Python)
Experienced in the GCP stack (e.g., GCS, BigQuery, Composer)
Experienced in K8S solutions
Experienced in advanced analytics
Genuine interest in data quality
