Rockstar is seeking a talented and experienced Frontend Software Engineer to join the Cfx.re creator platforms, including FiveM and RedM. As a member of the team, you work directly on the user-facing services that power the FiveM and RedM platforms. You are critical of quality and understand how to provide the best user experience. 

This is a full-time permanent position based out of Rockstar's studio in London.  

WHAT WE DO

• We build FiveM and RedM, the technology platform that enables players to experience community created content on fully customized dedicated servers where creators can develop their own game modes and other modifications in a variety of scripting languages. 
• We create technology, tools, and solutions to enhance the creator experience and empower our community to create and share any experience imaginable. 
• We create online services to support all the features utilized by the FiveM and RedM platforms, including server discovery, player authentication, server management, content management and more. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop user interfaces for our customers and internal users.  
• Develop a scalable UI components library. 
• Implement and maintain automated tests. 
• Contribute to the design and architecture of new features and improvements for the modding platform.  
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, optimize code, and improve overall system stability.  
• Work closely with other engineers to integrate services seamlessly into the larger platform. 
• Collaborate with other Rockstar technology teams across our worldwide studios. 

QUALIFICATIONS

• A degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent work experience. 

SKILLS

• Proficiency in React.js.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Extensive knowledge of various web technologies such as Web APIs, HTML and CSS (SCSS).
• Proficiency in profiling and debugging web applications.
• Have experience and are comfortable with modern frontend build tools such as Vite, Webpack, etc.
• Knowledge of web architecture, performance, and security practices.
• Knowledge of Agile software development processes.

• Experience with implementing design systems. 
• Experience with game or platform development. 
• Experience in optimizing complex programs. 
• Experience in C++. 
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic/passionate about games and curious about how things work. 
• Passion for creating tools and working closely with your user base.  
• Knowledge of Rockstars’ game titles and passion for playing videogames.  
• Knowledge of the FiveM/RedM platform and passion for working with the modding community.
