  • 对PvE动作/ARPG游戏具有深厚的理解、热情和熟悉程度。
  • 能流利使用中文(普通话)。

理想资质

  • 有担任关卡设计负责人的经验。
  • 具有在持续运营产品中工作的经验。
  • 具有游戏早期阶段和原型设计的经验,在延迟满足下工作,保持耐心并追求卓越。
  • 精通Unreal引擎(3年以上经验)。

As a Game Designer, you will design, tweak, and optimize the player experience. Your analytical skills, player insight, and creativity help craft in- and out-of-game experiences that engage and surprise players. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and work with every tool at hand to create and iterate player-focused designs that will delight millions around the world.

As a Senior Game Designer (Level-Design) in Research & Development working on an early stage product, you will help decipher one of Riot’s next big bets. You will partner with other designers, artists, and engineers to improve and iterate player-focused designs that aim at delivering a groundbreaking experience. We are still a small team, so this requires plenty of hands-on work creating, iterating, and tuning levels and mechanics. You are comfortable operating in an ambiguous environment where goals and constraints are mostly team driven and where change, big and small, is an essential part of the process. You will report to the Game Director of the project.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for rapid implementation and iterations on levels and world environments.
  • Design, implement, and improve levels and encounters that satisfy players and increase confidence in the game concept.
  • Create and integrate best practices for future level design work.
  • Create and provide multiple potential designs and solutions. Articulate trade-offs and risks between different options. 
  • Utilize rapid prototyping and playtesting where applicable to validate solutions.
  • Create clear design documentation that can be evaluated and implemented by non-designers.
  • Work collaboratively with the design team and other disciplines to create a great holistic experience. Collaborate, receive feedback, and iterate towards the highest quality product.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in professional Level Design.
  • Demonstrated excellence in Level Design with previous shipped work.
  • Demonstrated proficiency at level building in an established game engine.
  • Experience with using environments to shape the player’s journey, enhance combat systems, create intuitive navigation, and improve narrative experience.
  • Deep level of understanding, passion, and engagement with PvE Action/ARPG games.
  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working in a lead Level Design role.
  • Experience working on a live product.
  • Experience with early-stage games and prototyping, work under delayed gratification, be patient, and pursue excellence.
  • Significant proficiency (3+ years experience) with Unreal.
  • Familiar with the League of Legends universe and IP.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
