We're looking for a Senior Game Writer to join the narrative team on an unannounced Star Wars™ title - someone with a passion for world-class, ambitious, interactive storytelling in an established universe. Under the direction of the Lead Writer and Narrative Director, and working with accomplished writers and designers, you will write gameplay dialogue, scenes, story treatments, and a rich variety of supporting text for the game, helping to realize the game’s world and narrative.

What you’ll do...

  • Work with the narrative and design teams to develop compelling and immersive narrative gameplay that fits seamlessly within the Star Wars™ universe.
  • Write concise and evocative dialogue in multiple voices.
  • Write character and world guides, casting documents, and other supporting narrative content.
  • Join forces with other departments and assist in realizing a unified goal.
  • Maintain documentation and help with recording sessions and management of scripts.
  • Assist with marketing or other written company communications related to the project.
  • Foster a collaborative spirit with your peers, uphold professional standards, and always lead by example.

Ideally, you will have...

  • 5+ years of experience of disciplined writing in a professional capacity.
  • Experience as a Senior Writer on shipped games. AAA experience is ideal.
  • Passion for live collaboration and story breaking.
  • Excellent ear for dialogue and character voice.
  • A passion for storytelling in AAA third-person action adventure games, and especially in the Star Wars™ universe.
  • Fluency with cinematic storytelling and screenplay formatting.
  • Experience with development tools such as game engines, interactive fiction editors, and dialogue databases.
  • Strong understanding of how to work with other disciplines in a highly collaborative studio environment.
  • Ability to self-critique, and to process & integrate feedback from multiple sources.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Being a great partner and collaborator is an absolute must.
  • College degree in screenwriting, creative writing, filmmaking, narrative design, or similar discipline.

Please submit relevant game writing samples (5-10 pages max) including a mix of gameplay scripts and screenplay-formatted cinematics with your application to be considered for review. Ideal samples will emphasize character-driven drama over lore- and plot-centric materials.
