SENIOR JIRA DEVELOPER

THE ROLE

We are seeking an expert Jira Application Developer who can design, develop, and maintain some of the most impactful Enterprise-wide Jira and Confluence ecosystems within AMD.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the JIRA / Confluence technical resource (Subject Matter Expert).

• In depth knowledge of the SDLC and process improvement methodologies.

• Comprehensive knowledge of problem analysis, structured analysis, design and programming techniques.

• Comfortable in assisting project teams develop requirement and design specifications for new and existing applications.

• In-depth experience of automation, designing and implementing applications.

• Ability to source data from legacy systems, effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs.

• Develop solutions extending Atlassian REST services and JIRA plugins.

• Develop tools and methodologies to improve the effectiveness of the development process.

• Collaborate effectively with other technical teams to exploit new technologies to enhance the applications and service infrastructure.

Preferred Experience

• At least 5-7 years of experience with Atlassian JIRA/Confluence including tool administration, customization, support and troubleshooting in enterprise scale JIRA/Confluence datacenter
• Experience in plan and execute JIRA migrations and upgrade to JIRA Data center
• Hands on experience with development platforms like JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, XML, JSON.
• Experience creating JIRA templates, custom issues and workflows, custom forms and attributes
• Experience in automation DevOps, REST API Services provided by Atlassian.
• Strong work experience in JVM, AWS, Azure, Linux, Unix shell scripting, JavaScript, VB Script, Java, XML, JSP, Oracle DB, Postgres DB, MS SQL, MS Reporting Services, PERL, Python and should have utilized this skill set in multiple projects.
• In depth knowledge of the SDLC and process improvement methodologies; preferably with Agile Kanban/Scrum.
• Be aware of facilities for extending the tools, for the extensions and integration to JIRA or other Atlassian stack applications
• Experience-on JIRA analyze and respond to performance diagnostics.
• Good Verbal and Written communication skills.
• Write clear, concise and comprehensive technical documentation
• Have continuous integration/development experiences including GIT version control tool.
• Familiar with Application Performance Monitoring and load performance test framework/tools

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS

• Preferred / Not Required - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• Preferred / Not Required - ACP-100 Jira Administration for Data Center and Server Certificate.
