Your Mission
As a Senior Manager, Consumer Marketing you will be a key contributor and leader within the brand marketing team that supports the Call of Duty franchise. This role partners directly with the Product Management team, cross-functional teams and various game development studios to build best-in-class marketing campaigns that deliver on product strategies, our highest standards of creative integrity and overall business objectives. In this role, you will lead a small internal team as well as oversee day-to-day management of external creative agency partners, and help manage the approval process of all creative materials within Activision and with the game development team.
The right candidate must have the ability to think ahead, work independently, but also contribute cross-functionally to benefit the business, drive go-to-market plans and have the confidence to speak up and lead. While impeccable project management skills sit at the core of this role, this individual will also need to contribute at the strategic level to drive all marketing initiatives, work with our development partners and lead agency partners.
A passion for video games and an understanding of the gaming industry is a mandate, and experience with innovative marketing programs and brands that do this as well. First-hand video game category experience is a plus (although not mandatory).
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Be a key contributor within the Consumer Marketing team, under the leadership of the Senior Director of Consumer Marketing, when it comes to managing global marketing plans, creative executions and the production process supporting all communication vehicles for Call of Duty, including but not limited to: gameplay trailers, key art and creative identity, TV and digital advertising, out-of-home, documentaries,, digital commerce, retail, media, events, social and CRM. The role will support Call of Duty game launches and/or ongoing Live Seasons game marketing.
Lead a team of direct reports in meeting the Consumer Marketing objectives for all campaigns, delivering best-in-class marketing assets and developing their individual skills/talents as they grow in their career.
Develop highly effective, insights-driven creative briefs, driving projects forward with key stakeholders across the organization through completion.
Distill the business objectives and use them to create a Consumer Marketing point-of-view that drives the creative approaches and concepts to ensure all communications and advertising materials deliver on strategy.
Support ongoing Growth Marketing efforts by developing and delivering against evolving creative strategies that combine creativity with analytics to yield increasingly effective results. Work closely with the Marketing Analytics team to distill and apply takeaways.
Manage annual production budget by reviewing Agency estimates for services, managing costs versus budgets, and tracking overall spend.
Communicate and motivate cross-functional teams around a single marketing strategy.
Day-to-day management of external creative agencies and internal creative partners.
Collaborate with key development studio personnel and cross-functional partners to develop go-to-market strategies and creative asset development.
Coordinate with key Digital and Physical Commercial teams on trade and consumer marketing programs, retail merchandising and sales materials.
Stay informed of industry trends, have a passion for creativity and be a champion for innovation.
Able to learn new emerging markets quickly and adjust to changing market dynamics and competitive landscapes.
Player Profile
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
6+ years experience in brand marketing, creative agency account management (or equivalent client-side position) or video game industry
Experience in Brand Marketing, Content Marketing, Branding/Visual ID Development, Digital Marketing/Social required.
Must be proficient in traditional and digital media planning, including programmatic and growth.
Demonstrated experience in project management, analysis and the ability to work across multiple teams
People/agency management experience
A passion for gaming and entertainment, while understanding current industry and cultural trends
Excellent analytical, verbal, and written skills
Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
A self-motivated, results-oriented, creative problem solver
Extremely organized, prepared, meticulous
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
International marketing experience a plus
Live Ops/Live game marketing experience a plus

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $105,120.00 - $194,400.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
