About the Role
Ubisoft is seeking a full-time Model Artist, based in our Chengdu studio. We are looking for a passionate, detail-oriented and experienced talent.
This person will strive to have an effective workflow to create models of assets and characters with higher quality and efficiency.
What you will do
• Participate in the production of high-quality AAA realistic projects, help the team produce the standard quality for assets
• Independently and efficiently complete assigned model tasks, participate in outsourcing quality validation, polish outsourcing model and texture to reach the higher quality.
• Balancing quality and efficiency of models work to reach the best results within given time frames
• Actively seek ways to improve the quality and efficiency of art production and optimize relevant workflows
• Working together with team members, leads, external teams and lead studio to push project quality
What you will bring
• 2+ years game industry production experience, participated in high-quality realistic games (based on physical rendering PBR process), Have experience in animal and equipment related model production
• Working knowledge of Zbrush, Autodesk May, Autodesk 3ds max, Adobe Photoshop CC, Substance Painter and/or other modelling, material and texture creation tools
• Coordinative, proactive, and initiative mindset is needed
• Basic reading and written English are required but oral English is a plus
• Have a great understanding of game asset model optimization, deliver high-quality asset models under project technical requirements
