THE ROLE: 

We are looking for a candidate that can drive supplier engagement with external manufacturer/material suppliers on delivering key performance indices in terms on New Product Introduction, Supplier Manufacturing readiness, Excursion free processes, Value Engineering and Enabling new capabilities. THE PERSON: 

As a member of the Singapore Signal Integrity team, you will be responsible for the electrical design and characterization of high-speed signaling and power delivery networks in AMD products covering package, connector and board. You will be required to communicate effectively and work in close collaboration with others in AMD as well as with AMD’s customers to ensure optimal engineering design decisions and efficient problem solving.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Experience in measurement tools VNA, TDR, LCR meter and high speed oscilloscope is a plus
  • Experience in SI/PI characterization and processing of s-parameters
  • Experience in silicon, package, connector and board characterization for power & signal integrity
  • Experience in high-speed digital signaling interfaces such as PCIE, USB, GDDR and DDR
  • Experience in test board design, measurement fixtures and de-embedding methodologies
  • Knowledge in analog characterization, electromagnetic theory and digital circuit analysis
  • Knowledge in electrical modeling EDA tools such as HFSS, SIwave, ADS, etc. is a plus
  • Ability to collaborate and work across different functional teams and different sites
  • Self-driven and can work independently
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • > 3 years relevant experience preferred

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelor/MS degree in Electrical/Electronic/Microwave Engineering
