Senior Software Development Engineer

 

The Role
As a  Senior Software Development Engineer on the BIOS QA team, you will work on the cutting edge of CPU and motherboard technologies. From pre-silicon to launch, you will help create the future of the products millions of people all over the world will use every day.

 

This individual will be primarily responsible for building new tools and/or modifying existing tools and infrastructures to help increase efficiency within the team and across the organization. This includes but not limited to: CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, reports based on SQL databases, and python test case development.

 

The Person

The candidate should have strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to details. Must be organized, self-motivated and able to work effectively with the rest of the team. Will be tasked to prioritize multiple assignments and drive them to completion. Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial for driving technical conversations to successful outcomes. Should be able to ramp up quickly on a team.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Be able to move from project to project and tackle various programming challenges.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
  • Develop new automated test cases for cutting edge HW technology
  • Maintain and improve existing automated test cases
  • Mentor team members on best programing and automation practices.
     

Required Experience

  • 8+ years in Software and/or HW testing
  • Knowledge of Python, C#, or other object-oriented programming languages.
  • Experience with automation and tool development
  • Experience in data engineering and DevOps
  • Practical experience in the entire software lifecycle - Gathering requirements, Design, Development, Testing, Maintenance
     

Preferred 

  • Knowledge of computer hardware architecture
  • Creating reports with data visualization solutions like PowerBI and Sigma.
  • SQL Database experience
  • Experience in cloud deployments (Azure/AWS)
  • Experience with version control software like Git.
  • Understanding of Linux and Windows system internals.
  • Experience with JIRA issue and project tracking software
     

Academic credentials

Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred.
