THE ROLE:       

As a senior Machine Learning Technical Staff member at AMD, you will be an important member of the Information Technology department, combining the service delivery and automation of IT projects with the transformative capabilities of artificial intelligence solutions. You will be engaged in innovative projects with inspirational colleagues in Sales, Operation, Finance and Engineering teams to help AMD realize the vast potential of data-driven processes powered by machine learning models.

THE PERSON: 

You're a highly motivated team player with a strong development background, problem solving mentality, excellent communication skills, ability to prioritize tasks along with willingness to learn and adapt. Excellent teamwork skills and capable of working independently.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
- Running and delivering successful data science projects across multiple time zones

- Working on ML projects across a wide range of business and engineering teams
- Working closely with domain experts to promote the use of AI techniques in the business teams
- Advocating for data-driven business process via regular ML symposia and “brown bag” sessions

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

- Have a solid theoretical and engineering foundation in machine learning, reinforcement learning or generative AI

- Relevant development experience in ML-based forecasting system, computational advertising, video processing / understanding, etc.
- Relevant experience on one or more of the major CSP ML Platforms

  Experience with 2 to 3 of the following: SciKit, Learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Pandas, Numpy or Dataiku.  

- A team player, communication skills and organizational skills essential

Demonstrable portfolio of successfully delivered ML projects.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 
Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in Computer Science or related fields.
