THE ROLE: 

This is a senior technical position. Be part of the world's leading Design Verification Methodology team developing applications for functional and behavior verification of state-of-the-art graphics accelerators, generative AI (Artificial Intelligence) accelerators, servers, and Systems on Chips (SoCs).

This role involves developing ML/AI/data-mining based solutions to improve HW development processes. You will analyze methodology flows and data, identify opportunities for ML and AI applications, develop ML/AI models, automate data analytics, and monitor the output data quality in production environments. You will coordinate with Hardware Architects, Logic Designers, experts, and technical leaders from various validation teams, to tackle functional issues.

THE PERSON: 

A successful candidate is expected to excel in analytical thinking, problem solving, organizing data, gathering requirements, planning, architecting, and executing software solutions. S/he needs to be a self-starter who collaborates well with team members and AMD-internal customers alike to successfully drive tasks to completion. Excellent data interpretation skills and ability to visualize and construct solutions that escape the untrained eye are a great plus. A strong understanding of machine learning, principles of statistical analysis and algorithms, as well as experience with developing and deploying ML/AI models in production are a plus.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Collaborate with hardware verification teams: understand their process, data, and problems. Data can be runtime data, coverage, or any other data obtained from various dashboards.
  • Identify innovative approaches based on ML/AI and SW development practices to explore and adopt new or evolving design verification methodologies used in the industry to verify complex ASIC design projects.
  • Gather requirements, Architect, Develop, Maintain, Support software applications, tools, scripts as needed through its life cycle.
  • Provide scalable, innovative solutions to a large variety of customers.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:  

  • Any exposure to Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence is key. Hardware verification knowledge is also important. (HW verification process, design verification, HW debug).
  • SW Engineering and SW Architecting
  • Strong Software Engineering Skillset, development process such as Agile.
  • Exposure to Data Mining, Machine Learning and / or Artificial Intelligence courses and projects
  • In-depth knowledge of computer programming languages (Python, C++), experience with OO principles, practical skills in scripting,
  • (Plus) Familiarity with Machine-Learning frameworks (ex. Scikit Learn, Keras, TensorFlow, etc.)
  • (Plus) Knowledge of Functional hardware verification, such as testbench, simulation, coverage
  • (Plus) Experience in virtualization and cloud technologies.
  • (Plus) Experience with web development using frameworks such Flask, Angular, etc.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor, Master or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
