The Opportunity

We are the Games team within Accelerate Solutions, a group of highly skilled Software Developers and Tech Artists with deep expertise in the Unity platform. Our team is passionate about lending our proven experience and technical expertise to help elevate our gaming customer projects to the next level of fidelity and performance.

The successful candidate will be working on our consulting and development services which can range in duration from one week to over a year. Learn and partner with other industry veterans to work on critical performance-sensitive projects that demonstrate Unity engineering excellence.

This role may involve occasional travel to our other Unity or customers' offices, primarily within Japan.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and maintain art production workflow/pipeline by writing scripts/tools to aid artists to build more efficiently
  • Work with external teams to develop, optimize, and integrate art assets into their games without sacrificing artistic vision or exceeding platform requirements
  • Build or modify custom shaders for Unity games and apps
  • Educate and assist game studios to ramp up on using the Unity Engine optimally
  • Proactively train yourself to remain at the forefront of Unity Engine technology

What we're looking for

  • Experience crafting optimized 3D assets
  • Strong understanding of PBR lighting models and its interaction with materials
  • Experience writing shaders for real-time rendering
  • Professional experience working in real-time game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, or in-house)
  • Basic scripting skills using C#

You might also have

  • Familiarity with profiling and analyzing performance using popular industry tools such as Nsight, PIX, Razor or RenderDoc
  • Familiarity with the following DCC tools: Substance Painter/Designer, ZBrush, Photoshop, Houdini
  • Experience crafting particles or other VFX
