THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced and creative Freelance Video Editor to produce high-quality video content. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video editing and storytelling, with a great eye for composition. You will be responsible for creating engaging visual content that aligns with our brand’s vision and objectives, primarily serving the marketing department.  

 Responsibilities:

• Edit and assemble raw footage into polished videos that tell compelling stories and engage our target audience.
• Transform scripts or narratives into engaging visual content by employing smart, story-driven linear and non-linear editing techniques.
  
• Create emotionally driven edits for gameplay and cinematic trailers, putting heart and soul into each edit.
  
• Collaborate with directors, producers, and other team members to understand project scope and vision.
  
• Implement creative editing techniques to enhance the visual and auditory impact of videos.
  
• Ensure all video content adheres to brand guidelines and quality standards.
  
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, editing software, and best practices to continuously improve video production quality.
  
• Effectively manage multiple projects at once, meet tight deadlines, and maintain a calm, positive attitude.
  
• Oversee the organization and maintenance of video assets and libraries.
  
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams and handle high-level, fast-paced projects.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience as a video editor, video game editing experience is a huge plus.
  
• Proficient in video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro or related software.
  
• Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and composition.
  
• Excellent knowledge of color grading, sound design, and visual effects.
  
• Ability to work collaboratively and take creative direction.
  
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
  
• Experience with producing content for various platforms, including social media, web, broadcast and games.
  
• Familiarity with various video formats, codecs, and delivery specifications.
  
• A robust affinity for art, design, games, music, film, and the broader contemporary cultural scene is imperative.
