SERDES VALIDATION AND CHARACTERIZATION ENGINEER 

THE ROLE: 

We are looking for an adaptive, self-motivated validation engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD's SerDes and deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market. The Validation Engineering team closely interacts with other teams and furthers continuous technical excellence as well as facilitate continuous career development. 

THE PERSON: 

If you have a passion for modern, cutting edge SerDes design, and Validating & Characterizing SerDes in general. If you are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers. If you’re motivated to get the best performance out from the design, or good at hunting down issues to solve. You’ll fit right in!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Validating and characterizing PMA (or PHY) blocks of high-speed transceivers.
• Working closely with internal and/or external teams to troubleshoot issues.
• Developing python script for test automation and data collection/processing.

 PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Hands-on experience with high-speed scopes, pattern generators, VNA and associated lab equipment for SERDES testing
• Experienced in Python and automation techniques
• Good understanding of computer organization/architecture

 ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

• Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
