SERDES VALIDATION ENGINEER
THE ROLE:
As a key contributor, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD's SerDes and deliver the highest quality, cutting edge technologies, as well as the impact, to market. Our team closely interacts with other teams, such as architecture, design, apps, and system platform teams. The engineer will not only extends technical excellence, but also facilitate continuous career development with the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Validate and characterize AMD’s SerDes PHY functionality and performance against design targets, product requirements, datasheet and industry standards
- Working closely with internal and external teams to troubleshoot issues and determine the root cause. Feedback to designers and architects for design improvements
- Collaborate with architects, design engineers, and application engineers to understand specifications and features to validate and characterize
- Ensure and enhance SerDes performance, electrical and/or optical, compliant to Industry standards such as PCI-SIG, IEEE, OIF, XGMI, etc.
- Develop test automations with advanced scripting and programing skills to improve test and data analysis efficiency and coverage
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Hands-on experience with full stack lab instruments such as high-speed scopes, BERT, VNA, and/or other associated lab equipment.
- Experienced in mixed signal analysis, issue debug
- Experienced in latest SerDes architecture or design
- Experienced in SerDes electrical compliance for industrial standards such as PCIe, ethernet is preferred
- Experienced in scripting test automation, demo GUI, customer supporting scripts
- Understanding of Signal Integrity and/or Power Integrity is a plus
- Familiar with advance data post processing technics is a plus
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering with 7-10 years of experiences
